Residency Program in Switzerland & Denmark in 2025 (Fully Funded)

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Colloid Residency Program. This two-month, fully-funded residency program is split between Denmark and Switzerland. The first month will be spent at CERN in Geneva, while the second month will be spent at Copenhagen Contemporary in Copenhagen. The initiative’s goal is to welcome artists who are interested in science and technology and who would like to collaborate with scientists and engineers. Applicants are required to submit a proposal. All citizens are eligible to apply for the Colloid Residency Program, which funds creative research in the fields of science, technology and art. Throughout the residency, artists explore their ideas and engage in in-depth discussions with staff, engineers and scientists. Proposals that examine how scientific research and advanced technology impact contemporary culture and society will be accepted by the Colloid Residency Program.

Eligibility

  • All countries are eligible to apply for the program.
  • Age requirement 18 years or older.
  • Artists with a solid body of work and at least five years of professional experience.
  • Artists who are curious about the cultural relevance of technology and scientific study.
  • Artists should be enthusiastic about interacting with CERN and CC workers, scientists, and engineers.
  • Artists with the ability to collaborate and work across disciplines.
  • Artists who are curious about the stories, history, and community of CERN.
  • Artists whose work examines the relationships between art, science, technology, and society, as well as novel approaches to social research.
